Tutorial

Introduction:

If you have a question on how to get started, or how to use one of the more advanced functions of EZ sniper, you will find the answer here. Please read through this information before emailing us. These pages contain answers to thousands of questions on how to use our service that have been asked over the past several years. Problems with the site or service are addressed on the Troubleshooting pages.

Here are the topics you will find in the Tutorial:

Advanced bidding

Three ways to add a bid for sniping.

You may add bids in three ways; with the 'add interface' on your 'My Auctions' page, the 'bulk add' feature, or by way of the Snapper link you place on the personal toolbar of your browser.

Add Interface

The first way to add a bid to our sniper program is to use the 'add interface' at the top of your 'My Auctions' page. To get to this page, just login, and the 'add interface' is at the top of the page. Copy and paste the auction number from the auction page, select the contingency auction if you want, enter the number of items you are sniping if it is a Dutch auction, enter your bid amount in the currency of the auction, select the auction site, and click the 'SNIPE!' button. Your bid has been added to our sniping program. It will appear in the list of pending auction snipes just below the 'add interface', ready for sniping. Verify your bid is correct on the listing which appears directly below the 'add interface'.

Bulk Add

If you are adding several bids for sniping, you may want to use the 'Bulk Add' feature. The link to the 'Bulk Add' interface is to the left of the 'SNIPE!' button on the add interface. When you click this link, you are taken to a screen that has instructions on how to use the 'Bulk Add' field. Put one auction and snipe information per line, and separate the information with a comma as is shown in the instructions. 'Bulk Add' takes the drudgery out of adding several bids when you want to snipe a lot.

Snapper Toolbar link

The third way of adding bids for sniping is to use a link on the personal toolbar of your browser. This Snapper link enables you to snipe auctions directly from the auction page. All it takes is either the Internet Explorer, Firefox or Netscape Internet browser, and the icon on that browser's personal toolbar.

As you shop auctions, just click the icon when you see an item you would like to snipe. This spawns a popup where you may instantly add your bid to the sniper program.

To add Snapper to your browser's tool bar, log into your EZsniper account, then go to the Snapper page by clicking the "Snapper" link on the left of the page. This page contain complete details on the simple 'drag and drop' process of adding this convenient tool to your browser.

As you shop and click the icon on your personal toolbar, the eBay auction's number and your login are already entered on the popup if you are logged into EZsniper. You may have to manually add the auction number for some auction sites. Then, add your bid and the other information, and click 'SNIPE' to register your snipe into the sniping program. If you are not logged in, you will need to enter your EZsniper username and password on the popup. The Remember Me feature makes Snapper very convenient by keeping you logged in even after you closed the browser window. Get more information on this on the Snapper page. See our Troubleshooting knowledge base if you have any problems.
